The investigation acknowledges architecture's inherent reliance on a blend of natural, social, and anthropological elements, and positions cinema, notably due to its temporal and spatial dimensions, as a closely related art form. The thesis is structured into two main parts. Methodologically, the study employs a combination of literature review, film analysis, and architectural examination. It seeks to understand how Kubrick's cinematic techniques and set designs can inspire architectural creativity and vice versa. By analyzing Kubrick's unique approach to scenography, symmetry, and spatial narratives, the research aims to unveil new dimensions in the understanding and application of architectural space within the cinematic context. Ultimately, the study presents a design approach influenced by Kubrick's work, suggesting innovative ways to integrate cinematic elements into architectural practice.
