Item Restricted Mapping Ephemerality in the Artist's Workspace(2023) Mira Chamseddine; Anwandter, Juan Almarza; Ebert, Carola; Faculty of Architecture and Design; Berlin International University of Applied SciencesAUTHOR-SUPPLIED ABSTRACT: Abstract This research explores the manifestation of ephemerality in the artist's workspace and its connection to the artistic process with the aim of creating mappings that record the impermanent nature of interiors and inhabitation. Drawing upon theoretical perspectives and highlighting the interconnectedness of art, architecture, and interior design, emphasizing the shift towards the performative aspects of these disciplines. The research employs visual content analysis and examines photographs of workspaces belonging to notable Western painters, including Claude Monet, Juan Miro, and Jorinde Voigt. These case studies capture fleeting moments within their respective studios and serve as a basis for architectural representations of the potential movement of objects and bodies in the space over an unspecified period of time. By presenting the complexity of the layering of actions and meanings that interplay between ephemerality and the artist's workspace, a deeper understanding of interiority manifests.
