Liberia is one of the underdeveloped states on the coast of West Africa, in order for the country to develop and achieve steady economic growth, people should have a well-educated and diversified workforce of healthful men and women trained to take over the day-to-day work of the economy. One way to obtain this is to ensure that sufficient investment is made to create an efficient workforce of countrymen at all levels. People's importance and their knowledge in the community can turn out to be very beneficial when it starts to show up in their productivity and output, therefore, this element of development within the economy cannot be overlooked. The richness of a nation doesn`t only lie in its made capital and natural sources, but it's in its people; their skills, their health, and their resilience to give back to society are determined by human capital. This study aimed to examine the effect of human capital on economic development in the development process of Liberia. The degree and percentage of inequality are higher in countries with a low Human Development Index (HDI), which is discoverable in Liberia.
