It generates ideas that pave the way for the revival of materials as emotional expressions and reflections of an environment's aesthetic and historical value, as seen in Palimpsest, Spolia, Kintsugi, and Wabi-sabi. Spolia refers to when components from older structures are merged into more recent ones, revealing the historical layers of a current location. The palimpsest concept, representing continuity and change, refers to the visible history embedded within design characteristics. Kintsugi art involves repairing defects to create focus points representing change and imperfectness. Wabi-sabi represents the peaceful and quiet atmosphere it produces by emphasizing the beauty of imperfection, impermanence, and natural aging. These concepts combine to improve the current design's beauty, interaction, and historical narrationItem Restricted The impact of sticker street art(2024) Nikolova, Niya Nikolaeva; Demovič, Barbora; Hinze, Martin; Faculty of Architecture and Design; Berlin International University of Applied SciencesItem Restricted The world inside of a box : Wes Anderson's set designs and the translation of his artistic language into three dimensional spaces(2024) Feuerhak, Paulina Claire; Fowler, Gabriele; Starck, Adrian von; Faculty of Architecture and Design; Berlin International University of Applied SciencesItem Restricted Traditional techniques and schemes of embroidery in Bosnia and Herzegovina(2024) Predić, Simona; Lemke, Katharina; Tibus, Alexander Christian; Faculty of Architecture and Design; Berlin International University of Applied Sciences
