This project addresses the commodification of public space in Berlin and explores how graphic interventions can serve as a tool of resistance. Through four public interventions, Berlin citizens were asked to reflect on the idea of the ideal public space. The interventions were meant to both comment on the issue and to make people interact with objects placed in public space. Ultimately, the insights were forwarded to urban planning decision-makers in Berlin.Public SpaceGraphic InterventionsFostering Publicness: On the Commodification of Public Space in Berlin and Graphic Interventions as a Tool of ResistanceThesis
