Using a mixed method qualitative approach, this research explores the connections between archives, counter-archives and collective memory, and more specifically it aims to investigate how graphic design could play a role in transforming personal archival matter into lasting historical documentation for future generations, especially in this current era of excessive content production (Sleight 2025). This paper asks the question, how do we record our personal histories in the digital age, intentionally or unintentionally, and what could be collectively remembered of this current day and age?
