Abstract
"This paper analyses propaganda posters with graphics, symbolism and their variety to spread propaganda in the Second World War. [...] This paper makes use of qualitative research strategy by implementing the approach of interpretivism. [...] The research uses a review of primary and secondary sources to obtain data. The primary sources to be considered in this study are posters that were used during the Second World War. These posters will be analyzed and interpreted in terms of not only the images and text displayed but also the symbolic nature of these images and texts. Interpretation of the symbolism and narratives created by the posters will be crucial in establishing their impacts. Posters from different states will be used; these countries include the United States, Russia, England, Canada, Japan, and Germany. Secondary sources such as research articles will be utilized to give further meaning to the posters and their impacts. The secondary sources will be analyzed to provide further interpretations with regard to the imagery and texts used."
