Abstract

This thesis explores the role of language as a means of cultural resistance and revival, and takes the Ukrainian language as its case study in the context of systemic repression and contemporary revival. In the face of centuries of russification and linguistic erasure, the Ukrainian language has continued to be a carrier of identity, cultural memory, and national resilience. By synthesizing theoretical inquiry, historical research, and original interventions, the book examines language as not only a tool of communication but also as a symbolic and emotional vector of belonging and survival.
