Abstract

AUTHOR-SUPPLIED ABSTRACT: Abstract The design of office spaces has undergone a significant transformation in recent years, driven by a variety of factors such as changing conditions and technological advancements. This has not only impacted on the physical design of these spaces, but also the ways in which we work, including when and where we do so. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated this trend, as many people around the world were forced to work from home during quarantine periods. As a result, working remotely has become the new norm for many. However, while remote work has its benefits, it has also created unique challenges that have highlighted the importance of separating work and personal life. Going forward, the office experience is expected to continue evolving, with a greater emphasis on socialization and collaboration, as well as flexible work settings and timings. This research aims to investigate the various changes that have occurred in the office design landscape. The primary focus of this study is to identify key design strategies that should be considered while designing future workplace. This thesis is intended to serve as a comprehensive starting point for anyone interested in the design of "future workplaces" It will provide valuable insights into how office spaces can be adapted and redesigned to better meet the evolving needs of employees and offices in today's world.
